Chaowu section of Beiyanjiang expressway is an important part of the "four vertical and eight horizontal" expressway network in our province, with a total length of 43.87 kilometers, and the estimated total investment is 3.657 billion yuan.Chaowu Expressway started from the construction on March 31, 2015 and was successfully completed and opened to traffic on December 30, 2017.
The project starts from Wuhu Village, Hanshan County, Maanshan City, connects to the end point of North Yanjiang Expressway from Maanshan to Chaohu Lake, passes through Lintou in the southwest, crosses Yuxi River, Hefu Railway, passes Wanghushan, Shijian, Wuwei County, Hedian, and ends at Taqiao Hub in Wuwei County, and then connects to Tongling Yangtze River Highway and Railway Bridge of Hefu Railway.There are 5 interchanges of Maan Shanxi Hub, Lintou Hub, Shijian Hub, Wuwei North Hub and Taqiao Hub throughout the line.1 large bridge, 4 Bridges;Lintou, Wuwei north ramp toll station 2, 1 service area;The design speed of the whole line is 120 km/h. The two-way six-lane standard is adopted from the starting point to the Shijian junction, and the two-way four-lane standard is adopted from the Shijian junction to the end.
Chaowu Expressway is also connected with the Second Wuhu Yangtze River Highway Bridge and Tongling Yangtze River Highway and Railway Bridge. It is also the key link for the two Bridges to connect to the expressway network. It is responsible for the east-west transportation along the river between Nanjing, Ma 'anshan and Anqing and Wuhan, as well as the transportation across the river between the towns on both sides of the Wanjiang River.
After Chaowu Expressway is opened to traffic, the expressway network in the area along the river will become one, and the travel on both sides of the Wanjiang River will be more smooth.
