Guangning Expressway, with a total length of 38.289 kilometers, is located in the eastern mountainous area of Xuancheng City in southern Anhui Province. It is the link line of Xuzhou to Hangzhou Expressway of "Five Vertical and Nine Vertical" expressway network planned by our province, and also an important part of Yangzhou to Liyang and Liyang to Ningde Expressway of Shanghai-Shaanxi Expressway network.The starting point of the project is located in Shijie Town, Guangde County. In the north, the project connects with Liguang Expressway and G50 Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway, and ends at Helixi in Ningguo City, where it interoperates with Xuantong Expressway and Ningji Expressway.The Guangning Expressway project started construction on July 1, 2016 and opened to traffic on December 20, 2018.The whole line of Guangning Expressway is equipped with Yangtan interchange entrances and exits, and a pair of service areas (Yuewan Service Area).

After the opening of the Guang-Ning Expressway, the travel time between Guangde and Ningguo will be shortened from the previous hour to 30 minutes.This is of great significance to the improvement of highway network layout in our province, the improvement of travel conditions between local areas, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai as well as the southeast coastal areas of Jiangxi and Fujian, the acceleration of the integration of southeast Anhui into the Yangtze River Delta, the boost of local tourism resources development, and the promotion of the construction of international cultural tourism demonstration area in southern Anhui.
