Anhui Section of Sixu Expressway connects Henan, Anhui and Jiangsu, passing through central Henan, northern Anhui and northern Jiangsu, radiating the whole Huaihai Economic Zone. It belongs to the "second horizontal" in the "four vertical and eight horizontal" expressway network planning of Anhui Province.The Anhui section of Sixu Expressway is 204.9 kilometers long and consists of four sections from east to west: Sixian section, Suzhou section, Huaibei section and Bozhou section.

The Suzhou section of Sxu Expressway started construction at the beginning of 2008 and was opened to traffic on December 28, 2010 with a total length of 91.47 kilometers and an investment of 3.689 billion yuan. It starts from Pingshan Town in Sixian County in the east and interconnects with Jingtai Expressway in the west. The design speed of the whole line is 120 km/h with four lanes in both directions.
